People often ask me “why United?” Well, coming from the same city as the most talented footballer of his generation - George Best , there were quite a few of us in Belfast influenced because of George and the team he played for. It’s often said that Ireland is either orange or green, well, take a trip to Old Trafford and listen to the accents - you’ll quickly realise it’s red!!I’ve been a season ticket holder at Old Trafford for many years and have often felt exhausted yet well-satisfied after a midweek return trip to Manchester from London to witness European glory ... just hours after appearing on the GMTV couch. No doubt I’ll be enjoying a few more nights of champions’ League football this season.... even though I’ll be up even earlier to host Sky’s Sunrise programme.
