0-Home | The FeelGood Factor
I miss feeling good about myself. Wouldn’t it be great to turn back the clock, wear jeans and a t-shirt once again and not feel out of breath just walking up the stairs! It would be fab! So I’ve taken the brave step of admitting I need to lose weight and get healthy in 2009.
I’m aiming to lose 20 pounds in the next three months and failure simply is not an option, as I’m hoping to raise a pile of cash for two charities at the same time - The Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke Foundation and Diabetes UK. And as if that wasn’t pressure enough, I’m sharing the experience live on national television!
I want to encourage people to do lots of little things like walking the kids to school or washing your own car instead of going to the car wash. The Feelgood Factor is a wake-up call for us all. It’s not just about losing a ton of weight; it’s about regaining and maintaining health and being confident in yourself.
The credit crunch is probably a good time to take control of our bodies. It’s all about getting by on less, making changes and tightening our belts. So it’s really nice for me to feel that I’m not alone and that people can join in sponsoring me pound for pound with the money raised going to charity. And I hope people will think ‘if he can do it, I can do it too’
